James goes to Mozambique

James travels to Mozambique to observe the economic development activities of AfricaWorks. (Check out the blog entries and photos he posted during the trip.)

Google I/O conference

Sam and Shayne attend the Google I/O conference in San Francisco, CA. They met mobile developers from all over the world. They also spoke with Google executives and employees about the future of Android and its possible applications to humanitarian relief.

World Relief Baltimore visit

Sam, Shayne and James travel to Baltimore, MD to visit Sam Grottis and several global program directors at the world headquarters of World Relief. It was a wonderful road trip. We had a series of interesting discussions. We showed them the film and the software. They are excited about the possibilities that such a system offers. Later, we walked around the cobble stone streets of Fell's Point in Baltimore and had a tasty lunch at Duda's Tavern (they have great chili and crab cakes).

Mabulu incorporates

Mabulu, Inc. files its articles of incorporation with the State of Ohio. They are accepted. We are an officially recognized company.

Google doesn't select our contest entry

After a couple months of effort with help from some friends and eager anticipation, we found out that Mabulu Mobile was not selected as one of the 50 finalists in Google's Android Developer Challenge. Maybe we'll compete in the next ADC this fall.
